How usemoji works

Coins on pump.fun whose creator fees react to what an X account posts.

Launching

You pick an X account and up to 6 emoji, and give each emoji one job and a share of the vault. The account and the emoji go into the coin's metadata and can't be changed after launch. You pay the launch from your own wallet, including a 0.01 SOL setup payment.

Where the fees go

Every usemoji coin is created with usemoji's main wallet as its creator, which is what pump.fun shows. Right after launch its creator fees are locked with pump.fun's fee sharing: 80% to that wallet, 20% to usemoji. pump.fun revokes the admin, so nobody can change the split afterwards. pump.fun itself can still step in on a coin through its own community takeover process.

The vault

A coin's vault is its running share of the main wallet: what its fees brought in, minus what its emoji spent. Fee sharing pays out per coin, so each payout is known. The vault is held by usemoji in a hot wallet until an emoji spends it: this is custodial. Fees are collected every few minutes.

What emoji do

Buyback & burn. Buys the coin with vault SOL, then burns every token bought.

Pay holders. Shares vault SOL with holders, by the size of their bag.

Send to wallet. Sends vault SOL to one wallet you choose at launch.

Holder payouts go to the largest holders with at least 0.05% of the supply, up to 200 wallets. The curve, the pool and usemoji's own wallets are left out.

What counts as a post

Posts, replies and quote posts by the account, from the moment the coin launches. Reposts don't count, and neither does an emoji that is only inside the post being quoted. An emoji fires once per post however many times it is written. All skin tones of an emoji count as that emoji. Each post is checked from X's own data, usually within seconds.

If a vault is too small to act, the post is logged as skipped and nothing is spent.

Risks

Memecoins can lose all their value. A trigger can only spend what the coin has earned, and it may never fire: the account can stop posting that emoji at any time. X can limit access to its data, which would stop triggers. Coins can name real accounts; those accounts have nothing to do with the coin unless they say so themselves.
